Terms and Conditions
The rules for using Digikids, for parents, kids and teachers.
Last updated 3 November 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions are an agreement between you and Digikids (“Digikids”, “we”, “us”), a STEM education provider based in Nairobi, Kenya. They apply when you use the website at digikids.co.ke, create an account, or register a child for a course, class, free session, or bootcamp.
By creating an account or registering a child, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Digikids.
2. Who can use Digikids
- Parents and guardians must be 18 or over. A parent or guardian creates and manages each child’s account and accepts these terms on the child’s behalf.
- Children aged 6 to 17 may use Digikids through an account their parent or guardian creates. The parent or guardian is responsible for how the child uses Digikids.
- Teachers may apply to teach. We review every application and only approved teachers can run classes. Teachers also agree to our code of conduct and to any separate teaching agreement with Digikids.
For children under 12, we ask that a grown-up stays nearby during live classes to help with devices and connection problems.
3. Your account
- Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password private. You’re responsible for activity on your account and your children’s accounts. Tell us straight away at info@digikids.co.ke if you think someone else has used it.
- You can invite another parent or guardian to your family. Every guardian in a family has the same rights over the family’s children and bookings.
- A child’s account is for that child only and mustn’t be shared.
4. Courses, classes, and bootcamps
- All dates and times are in East Africa Time (EAT). Live classes run online unless the listing says otherwise.
- We try to keep to the published schedule. Sometimes we need to change a time, a teacher, or a class arrangement, or open an extra class when one fills up. We’ll tell you as early as we can.
- For a bootcamp, you can switch your child to another class in the same bootcamp until the bootcamp starts, if there’s space.
- A place is held for your child only once your registration is confirmed. Where a class is full, we may offer a waitlist place, which isn’t a guaranteed place.
5. Prices and payment
- Prices are in Kenya shillings (KES) and are shown before you register.
- The price you see when you register is the price you pay, even if the listed price changes later.
- Unless we tell you otherwise, you pay by M-Pesa: open Lipa na M-Pesa, then Pay Bill, and use business number 880100 and account number 1003585178. Then confirm in your account that you’ve paid.
- We check payments by hand and aim to confirm them within 12 hours. Your child’s place is secured once we’ve confirmed payment, and we’ll email you a receipt.
- We may cancel a registration that hasn’t been paid by the registration deadline, so the place can go to another child.
- Free places and free sessions are offered at our discretion and can’t be exchanged for money.
6. Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel before a course or bootcamp starts, we’ll give you a full refund. To ask for one, message us on WhatsApp on +254 799 710693.
7. Live classes
- Live classes take place in our online classroom or by a meeting link we send. Don’t share class links or let anyone else join in your child’s place.
- Some classes are recorded or transcribed so children can catch up. We only include a child’s voice or screen in a recording, or their speech in a transcript, if their parent or guardian has agreed. In recorded classes, children’s cameras stay off. Our Privacy Policy explains who can watch recordings and how long we keep them.
- You mustn’t record, screenshot, or share a live class or its recording yourself, other than your own child’s work.
8. Behaviour and safety
Everyone on Digikids, including children, parents, and teachers, must:
- be kind and respectful to other learners, parents, and teachers
- not share personal details such as phone numbers, addresses, or social media accounts with other learners
- not post or send anything unkind, unsafe, inappropriate, or illegal
- not try to get into another person’s account or interfere with how Digikids works
Where messaging is available, children can only message a teacher who teaches them, and parents can see their child’s conversations with teachers. To keep children safe, our team can read conversations when there is a safety reason, such as a report, and every time they do is recorded. Anyone can report a message that worries them.
If someone breaks these rules, we may remove them from a class, pause messaging, or suspend or close their account. Where we’re worried about a child’s safety, we may contact their parent or guardian and, if the law requires it, the relevant authorities.
9. Teachers
Teachers must keep their profile accurate, prepare and run their classes as agreed, follow our code of conduct, and only contact learners and parents through Digikids. A teacher’s public page shows their name, photo, teaching background, and courses, but never their contact details. Pay and other working arrangements are set out in the teacher’s separate agreement with Digikids.
10. Our content and your child’s work
- Our courses, lessons, videos, worksheets, and the Digikids name and logo belong to Digikids. You may use them for your child’s learning, but not copy, sell, or share them.
- The games, apps, websites, and art your child makes belong to your child. You give us permission to store and show their work inside Digikids so their teacher and family can see it.
- We only show a child’s work or name in public, such as on social media or a public awards page, if their parent or guardian has agreed.
11. Certificates and awards
When a child finishes a course, we may issue a certificate with a serial number. Anyone with the serial number can check it on our verification page, which shows the course, the child’s name, and the date it was issued. Awards profiles are private unless the family chooses to make them public, and the family can hide awards or take the profile down at any time.
12. Using the website fairly
You mustn’t:
- use Digikids for anything unlawful
- copy, scrape, or resell our content or data
- upload viruses or anything that could harm Digikids or its users
- try to get round our security, payment checks, or class limits
13. Suspending or closing an account
You can ask us to close your account, or a child’s account, by emailing info@digikids.co.ke. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or has an unpaid balance. Closing an account doesn’t cancel a refund you’re owed or a payment you still owe. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep after an account is closed.
14. Our responsibility to you
- We teach with care and skill, but we can’t promise particular results, grades, or that Digikids will always be available without interruption.
- You’re responsible for your own device and internet connection. We aren’t responsible for sessions missed because of them.
- As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the course, class, or bootcamp the claim is about.
- Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Kenyan law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2012, that can’t be limited by agreement.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Digikids changes. We’ll show the date of the latest version at the top of this page and tell you by email about important changes before they apply. If you keep using Digikids after a change applies, the new terms apply to you. Changes don’t affect a booking you’ve already paid for.
16. The law that applies and how to contact us
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. If we can’t agree, the dispute will be decided by the courts of Kenya.
